Our license verification tools can help you validate professional licensing. Ask for proof of insurance and bonding so you’re covered in case of damage. Confirm your homeowner’s insurance requirements to see if you’re covered in the event something goes awry. Request local referrals and see other work in person. Research other online review sites. Get a written, itemized contract and sign off on scope changes throughout the project. Be wary if you’re asked to put down a large cash deposit before a contract is signed and you haven’t vetted the professional. Always go with your instincts. If something feels off, do not proceed. 2.WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT A PROJECT ?
After submitting your project, the details are shared with professionals who provide the service you requested. Pros will begin asking questions and bidding on the job. Once you determine who meets your expectations, you hire them. It’s that simple!
3.IS THERE A FEE FOR HOMEOWNERS TO USE EASY BIDS TO CONTACT PROFESSIONALS ?
There is no cost for homeowners to use Easy Bids. You pay a small amount to secure the job and the remaining to the contractor. Your down payment is always refundable with Easy Bids.
4.HOW DO I CHANGE OR ADD DETAILS TO MY PROJECT ?
You can edit your project at any time by selecting the job and editing the fields below. You can also provide feedback to the Service Professionals during the bidding process.
5.CAN I CONTACT PROFESSIONALS FIRST ?
You will not need to connect with the contractor before the bidding process. You can communicate with them during the process. At Easy Bids, we keep your information private to avoid getting multiple calls from service professionals. We let you interact within the app until you’re ready to hire someone. After which, you will both receive contact information and can begin finalizing the job.
6.HOW DO I REVIEW A PROFESSIONAL ?
At the completion of your job, you will be asked to rate, provide feedback and upload any pictures of the completed work.
7.HOW DO I REMOVE A PROFESSIONAL FROM MY PROJECT ?
Visit your Project page and update the status on the center of the page to “cancel or complete”.
8.ARE PROFESSIONALS ON EASY BIDS INDEPENDENT BUSINESS OWNERS ?
Easy Bids professionals are independent Service Professionals and each sets their own pricing, schedule, and other business policies. Each professional is responsible for maintaining their licensing, bonding, and insurance and we ask each homeowner to verify this information prior to hiring a professional. Easy Bids actively manages the quality of our network and encourages you to leave a review of all of your experiences with professionals.
9.WHAT DOES THE EASY BIDS GUARANTEE MEAN ?
The Easy Bids Guarantee gives you peace of mind for all of your home improvement projects requested through Easy Bids. If property damage occurs as a direct result of the professional’s work on your original Easy Bids project, or if a professional takes your deposit and does not complete any work, we will assist you in the process of resolving the issue with the professional and recouping your loss. In addition, Easy Bids will provide you with up to $1,000 to help offset any loss (for example, meeting your home insurance deductible, replacing or repairing damaged items or paying for legal fees if you pursue the professional in court). The Easy Bids Guarantee does not cover quality of work issues, loss of materials, tools or property used on the job, project delays, payment disputes, projects where the scope of work has changed, or projects that were not requested through Easy Bids. 10.WHAT IS EASY BIDS SERVICES?
Easy Bids offers homeowners a quality and trustworthy nationwide solution to repair and maintain their homes. When a homeowner submits an Easy Bids project, the experience from pricing your job, receiving bids and hiring the right professional is all handled by Easy Bids. Many of Easy Bids Service professionals are background checked and agree to carry the appropriate licensing and insurance applicable to the service and location. In addition to Property Protection, all Easy Bids Services customers are eligible for the Satisfaction Guarantee. Easy Bids Services are offered in and around most major U.S. cities. Some services may not be available in your area.
11.HOW ARE NON-PRO PLUS SERVICE PROFESSIONALS VETTED ?
Vetting of reputation, licensing, and insurance for projects not performed by Easy Bids is the responsibility of the homeowner. When you’re matched with professionals, be sure to inquire about the credentials that matter most to you.
